西川祐信(Ishikawa Toyonobu)

早期浮世绘有“东之师宣，西之祐信”之说,其他还有许多浮世绘的原始画家如奥村正信,石川丰信等等,由于这些艺术家们的努力 使得印版技术取得长足进步，特别是在彩色方面。起初，市场上仅有单一墨色印的画（墨摺绘），但不久出现了[赤版]，以红为主色，再加印黄和绿，在日本绘画史上打开了新的境界。

《越後铺》现在的三越百货商店的前身。奥村正信1745年的作品。用透视图法显出距离感成为有进深的画面，而且色彩斑斓。
